Perhaps you feel resentful of people who take advantage of you.  Every now and then you explode in anger and then feel shame.  I can help you create healthier boundaries.

I also support clients who are grieving the end of a relationship or feel frustrated with finding a partner.  Many are fatigued from trying to create meaningful social connections. I can help you: identify what you want in your life, notice and change patterns, and create meaningful relationships.

Reclaiming Yourself: Recovering From Childhood Abuse, Neglect, and Loss

I work with clients who feel broken, unlovable, and stuck. This is often the result of hurtful messages they received growing up that they continue to believe. 

Abuse takes away self-confidence and leaves shame, self-doubt and self-hatred in its place.  This self-loathing leads us to continue to hurt ourselves through toxic relationships, unsafe sex, drugs and alcohol, and self-sabotage. 

I can help you reclaim yourself through self-compassion, and help you get in touch with your inherent worthiness and talents.  Healing is possible.

Working With Men: Cultural Expectations, Emotional Intelligence and Life Balance

Is anger your most accessible emotion?  Whether or not you were taught this in your family, our culture emphasizes independence and rational thinking.  Men are taught at an early age to disconnect from feelings of vulnerability and are discouraged from asking for help.

Feelings of rejection, loss, and grief get stuffed down in our bodies and come out as depression, anxiety and/or anger. 

Intimate partners may want to feel close to you and talk about feelings.  It may feel frustrating and confusing, and that you are in a no win situation.  I can help you get in touch with your feels and learn how to express them.
